About the Demo:
1) Our bedside AI trainers are iPads mounted on mobile stands that sit next to hospital beds. The iPads run our Enabled Health application, a virtual physical therapist/coach that uses computer vision and AI to keep patients mobilizing in real-time while they’re bedbound to prevent muscle wasting/deconditioning that leads to frailty from hospital stay.
2) Attendees will be able to demo the AI trainers (limited to one person at a time).
3) The entire purpose of our application is to prevent frailty – specifically, muscle deconditioning, which is the largest component of frailty associated with hospital stays and subsequent falls at home. We measure deconditioning/frailty in a variety of ways, including analysis of patient movements for trends (increased vs decreased muscle activity, frequency, amplitude, exercise rigor) and patient self reported outcomes (sensations of energy, strength, difficulty).
